I repatriated to Israel from the beautiful city of Odessa with my first husband and his family back in 1998. Unfortunately, our family did not work out and I had to go through a very difficult period: domestic violence, litigation, divorce, lack of housing, lack of any support, as my whole family and friends stayed in Ukraine, lack of sociability due to poor knowledge of Hebrew… The whole world seemed to turn on me; I thought I could never get on my feet…. I had to fight for my life, freedom and the right to be happy… At that period, I started to “travel” all over Israeli warm homes and the numerous public organizations that provided various assistance. Gradually, with the sincere help and interest of beautiful people, I still managed not to give up in the face of my personal monstrous situation… That’s when I decided to connect my life with the help to other people. Jewish sages say: “Whoever saves a life saves the world” and this is true! I shudder to think where I would be or would survive at all without compassionate and selfless people to cross my path. Today, I am grateful to God for a wonderful husband who fully shares my views and interests in helping other people, and for adorable five kids! In our hearts, we bear the burden for weak, life-wounded and deprived people. And we’re really happy to be able to help at least one person who later can save the whole world!!!!
